Improv Escape Room Design: Train-the-trainer

If we were to collaborate on a learning experience or most any project, we’d start by defining our purpose and generating a bunch of ideas. This stage can be a ton of fun!  So, Dr. Maddie Shellgren and I turned into a bit of a game.

We roll three custom dice to determine the organization, learner, and learning purpose. In this first video, we rolled “community organization,” “trainers,” and “compliance.” Then we spent about 15 minutes developing a vision for an educational escape room that meets these parameters. The video’s cut down to 8 minutes to more quickly give you a sense of 1) how you could start conceptualizing an educational escape room and 2) what it might be like to work with us!

Check it out and let me know what you think!  And if you’re interested in exploring how experiential learning or escape rooms could work for your community, email me to schedule a free Escape Room Strategy Session.

Somewhat spontaneously,

Laura
